F.A.Q

ARE ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS ORGANIC?

Many of the products in the farm shop are certified organic, including all of our fruit and vegetables (with the exception of our bunches of Brittany onions). Products that are not organic are ethically and locally sourced where possible.

What are your opening times?

Please visit our Contact page for opening times and contact details.

I have a question about one of the other businesses on site…

We (the farm shop and restaurant) are a separate business to Ashlyns Softplay, Ashlyns Farm Park, Ashlyns Beauty and Aesthetics, Caveman Clinic, and The Black Dog Wine Company. Our staff will always try to be helpful in answering your queries, but it’s best to contact the other businesses directly to make sure that you get the correct information regarding opening times and pricing. You can find the relevant phone numbers and websites on our Next Door page.

are the farm shop and restaurant ECO-FRIENDLY?

We are committed to reducing our plastic consumption, and are steadily replacing the non-recyclable packaging used in the farm shop deli and butcher with eco-friendly and biodegradable alternatives. You won’t find plastic straws in the restaurant, and we only use paper carrier bags. We still have a way to go to become completely eco-friendly, but we are dedicated to making changes, and are getting there slowly but surely!

is the meat in the butcher ethically sourced?

All of the meat we supply is ethically, and locally, sourced. Most of our meat is also either free-range or organic.

Do I need to book a table in the restaurant?

A reservation isn’t required, feel free to just turn up! However, we would recommend that you book a table during busy periods (particularly at weekends), or if your party includes more than 6 people.

Are the farm shop and restaurant child friendly?

Yes, we have highchairs and a children’s menu available in the restaurant.

Are the farm shop and restaurant wheelchair accessible?

The farm shop and main floor of the restaurant are completely wheelchair accessible via ramps. The upper level of the restaurant, and the upper level of the garden, are only accessible via stairs. Please let us know if you or your guests require wheelchair access, and we will make sure that your party is seated in the accessible areas of the restaurant or garden. Unfortunately the bathroom in the restaurant is not large enough to be fully wheelchair accessible, but there is a disabled bathroom in the toilet block on site, next to Ashlyns Beauty and Aesthetics.

IS THERE A CHARGE FOR PARKING?

No, we have a large car park that we share with the other businesses on site, and parking is free.

Do you have baby changing FACILITIES?

The bathroom in the restaurant does not have baby changing facilities, but there is a baby changing table in the disabled bathroom in the toilet block on site, next to Ashlyns Beauty and Aesthetics.

Do you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?

Yes, please let your server in the restaurant know if you have any food allergies or dietary requirements. Allergen information is available for the restaurant menus, and the products in the farm shop deli. We have a wide range of vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, and gluten free options on the restaurant menu. We do use allergens in our kitchen, therefore all dishes may contain traces.

are you open on bank holidays?

We are open on every bank holiday throughout the year, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.

DO you allow dogs into the restaurant and farm shop?

Dogs are not allowed into the farm shop, restaurant, or restaurant garden, with the exception of service dogs.

Can I bring my buggy into the restaurant?

The restaurant is child friendly, and you’re very welcome to bring your buggy in with you. At very busy times we may be required to ask you to move your buggy if it restricts access to fire escapes, but staff will be as accommodating as possible.
